I'm Sonja, a Dubai-based kitchen and joinery designer specialising in bespoke residential projects. Drawing on my Nordic roots and over a decade designing Shaker kitchens in London, I create timeless kitchens for homes in Dubai - from initial concept through to installation.

I founded Bespoke Kitchens Dubai to bring a different standard of kitchen design to the UAE. After designing Shaker kitchens in the UK, I saw a gap here for furniture that is truly bespoke, thoughtfully designed, made to last, and tailored to the way people actually live. My aim is to make the process easier for clients: to cut through the noise, handle the details, and deliver kitchens that balance function, beauty, and longevity. This is what drives every project I take on.
Every project starts with understanding how you cook, how you entertain, and how your kitchen fits into your home and daily life. From there, the design builds gradually - mood boards and material selections to establish the look and feel, detailed layouts and elevations to get the proportions exactly right, and realistic 3D renders so you can see precisely how it will look before anything is made.

My design service is thorough and detail-driven, covering everything from precise drawings and 3D visuals to specifications for joinery, appliances, and finishes. Whether you’re looking for a complete design-and-build solution or just a package of plans to take to your own supplier, I adapt the service to suit your needs.
The process begins simply: share your floor plan, or I can take measurements on site. From there, we’ll have a free consultation to talk through your ideas and requirements. I’ll then prepare an initial design for your review, giving you a clear picture of how your kitchen will look and work.
