A Kitchen Transformation in Cayan Tower, Dubai Marina

Nestled in the heart of Dubai Marina, Cayan Tower is known for its stunning views and iconic twisted architecture. However, as is the case with most of Dubai homes, the existing kitchen was uninspiring, so I was commissioned to re-design the compact space.
The original layout featured a dividing wall with a serving window, which limited the flow of light and created a disjointed feel between the kitchen and living areas. Removing this wall was a game-changer, opening up the space and flooding it with natural light.
On the back wall, thoughtful design choices maximize storage without overwhelming the room. An integrated fridge-freezer sits alongside a tall pantry cupboard—ideal for dry goods and kitchen essentials. Above the worktop, fluted glass cabinet doors lend an airy, textured elegance, balancing practicality with visual interest. The undermounted sink is positioned centrally and paired with an integrated dishwasher, keeping the space streamlined and efficient.
The focal point of the kitchen is undoubtedly the curved island. Its design combines form and function with a fluted back panel that ties in beautifully with the fluted glass on the wall cabinets. The island houses a downdraft hob, an oven, and additional storage, making it a multitasking hub perfect for cooking and entertaining. The soft curves not only enhance the flow of the space but also create a welcoming centerpiece.
Adding to the luxurious feel is the marble worktops and splashback, creating a striking visual statement. The muted palette of soft, natural tones complements the light-filled space, making the kitchen feel calm and inviting.
